                             Head, Department of Archival Preservation

            Duties:    - co-ordination of all archives activities in preservation of archival documents;
                          - environmental control of the archives;
                          - disaster planning;
                          - planning of conservation and restoration measures;
                          - safety microfilming and copying of microfilms;
                          - applied research in conservation;
                          - professional development by systematic gathering of information in the field.
